Because of Mr.Terupt

Because of Mr.Terupt

Ms.Van started reading us a book called “Because of Mr.Terupt” by Rob Buyea. The class seems to be enjoying it. For example, whenever Ms.Van closes the book all the kids in the class start screaming “NOOOOOOOOOOO!” In the book, each chapter tells about a different character in the 5th grade class. Except they only talk about seven kids. First there’s Peter who is a trouble maker.  Next there is Jessica, who is the new girl, and is very shy.  Third, there is Alexia, who is mean, sassy, she says “like” a lot, and always starts girl wars.  Fourth, there is Luke, he is smart, and likes school.  Fifth, there is Danielle, she is self-conscious, and never stands up for herself.  Sixth, there is Jeffery who hates school. Last but not least is Anna, she has no close friends, is quiet, does not like to be noticed, and her mom is her best friend.  And of course there is Mr. Terupt, the new teacher.  In the book the students usually have a problem. For example, one day Peter put Elmer’s glue on the bottom of Luke’s shoes, so Luke went to the bathroom to wash his shoes off. When Luke walked into the class and slid half way across the room and then Mrs. Williams walked into the room… We recommend this book to you because it’s funny and, exciting we think you will really like it.
